North Carolina Superior Court Mediations

Helping Parties Resolve Disputes with Confidence

Litigation can be expensive, time-consuming, and uncertain. Mediation offers an opportunity for parties to resolve disputes in a confidential, efficient, and cost-effective setting while maintaining greater control over the outcome than they would have in court.

As a North Carolina Superior Court Certified Mediator, I provide a neutral forum where parties can engage in productive discussions, evaluate risks, and explore practical solutions. My role is not to decide who is right or wrong, but to facilitate meaningful negotiations that help parties reach informed, voluntary agreements whenever possible.

I provide in-person and virtual NC Superior Court mediation services.

Fees and Forum

Hourly rate: $200.00

One-time administrative fee: $250.00

I do charge a one-time travel fee of $300.00 if the parties request that I travel to a different location that is more than 30 miles from my current location for an in-person mediation. This fee is assessed at the sole discretion of the attorney and will be disclosed prior to booking mediation services.

Court appointed mediations will be conducted at the rate approved by the court at the time of appointment.

Civil & Business Disputes

I mediate a wide range of civil matters, including:

  • Business and commercial disputes

  • Breach of contract claims

  • Employment and workplace disputes

  • Construction-related disputes

  • Professional services disputes

  • General civil litigation pending in North Carolina courts

Employment Disputes

Employment conflicts often involve legal, financial, and personal considerations. I work with employers, employees, and counsel to facilitate constructive dialogue and evaluate realistic settlement options in matters involving:

  • Wrongful termination

  • Discrimination and harassment claims

  • Retaliation claims

  • Wage and hour disputes

  • Employment contract disputes

  • Severance and separation issues

A Practical, Well-Prepared Process

Successful mediation begins long before the mediation session. I encourage parties and counsel to identify key issues, exchange relevant information, and thoughtfully evaluate the strengths, risks, and costs associated with continued litigation.

During mediation, I create an environment that promotes open communication, respectful dialogue, and thoughtful negotiation. While not every case settles, every mediation provides an opportunity to clarify issues, narrow disputes, and move the parties closer to resolution.
